Haven't written in a while. Don't really know what to write about. I what to bitch about though. The fact that some concert promoter hates me, and the fact that I won't be able to make it to some of the shows I want to see. I am simply a victim of bad, nay, HORRIBLE timing. Let's review the list, shall we?

Spoon, 4.2.08 @ Uptown Theater: Kansas City, MO - I will be in DC. I was hoping that they'd come back soon after the cancelled their KC area date last fall to appear on *cough* Saturday Night Live.

The Swell Season (Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova), 5.5.08 @ Liberty Hall: Lawrence, KS - Breaks my heart. Sadly, my Sociology final is this day. I absolutely wanted to cry, just bawl. I know they won't make a stop in D.C. because they already did late last year. NPR broadcasted the concert on All Songs Considered from the 9:30 club. I listened to it.

Kanye West, 5.10.08 @ Nissan Pavillion: Bristow, VA - Methinks I will be done with finals by then and long gone. Not that big of a disappointment, but it probably would have been an amazing concert.

Radiohead, 5.11.08 @ Nissan Pavillion: Bristow, VA - *Sigh* I don't even want to talk about it. Like I mentioned in the Kanye bit, I will be done with my finals by then, and I have to be moved out of my dorm by 5:00 PM by this date. And another thing that burns my toast: This tour is allegedly suppose to promote lowering carbon emissions. So my understanding was that they were going to visit venues which could be reached through public transportation. Bristow, VA is an hour away from the DMV area. I could not get there unless I rented a car and drove. *sob*

But maybe all is not lost. I'm still holding out for The Police.
